Website and email services help
This section provides a guide to using the services on offer from the IET website.
Website logins
Please enter your registered username and password into the boxes at the top of each web page on the site.
Your username/password will be one that you have previously registered on the IEE or IIE websites or alternately you need to register a new account on the IET website.
If you have forgotten your username/password OR are unsure of whether you have previously registered on the website, please use the reminder facility.
Login problems
If you encounter problems logging in, please and ensure that your browser is set to accept session cookies before attempting to log in again. Also see our login FAQs.
If you are still unable to log in, please contact the IET webmaster and include a description of the problem you encountered.
Remember me
Select Remember Me if you wish to be logged in automatically when you visit the website. However, you will be asked to provide your username and password during the session if you access any pages containing your personal information.
Website registration
Click on the 'Register' link at the top of the page and follow the instructions.

Profile help
You can view/change the following details from 'My IET' by logging into the website:
Profile, contact details, membership, communications, messages, events, news, communities, local networks, portrait, contacts, and favourites. Also see FAQs on profile.
Website content help
The IET website is divided into two functions; an organisational site and a knowledge network.
The organisational web site consists of: About us, Membership, In your area, Careers and training, Events, Publishing, Education, Public affairs and Factfiles. The knowledge network consists of the technical professional networks, and some publishing areas. Also see content FAQs.
